What is this Festival?
Winner of Elevation Outdoors Best of the Rockies, Burning Can Fest at the Lyons Outdoor Games is quite simply – it’s the best weekend of the year! Craft beer, adventure sports to watch and do, Rocky Mountain camping, and an awesome concert. The mission of Burning Can at Lyons Outdoor Games is to raise funds and awareness for the Can’d Aid Foundation and the Town of Lyons Park, Recreation and Cultural Department and to keep Lyons growing as a vibrant, unique and outdoor–oriented Colorado community. Our vision is simple: for every person to leave Burning Can at Lyons Outdoor Games stoked to live a more adventurous life!
Where is the event?
Is everybody over 21 allowed in the Beer Fest area?
NO – only attendees with a Beer Fest wristband will be allowed in beer fest.
Where can I stay?
Tent camping is available onsite at the base of the Rocky Mountains. Host hotel coming soon!
What should I bring?
Bring your ID, cash for food and beer, sun screen, and festival footwear. All substances deemed illegal at the federal, state, and local level are prohibited. Outside alcohol is also prohibited in the camping area.
What’s the vibe?
It’s a laid back mountain town vibe, filled with athletes, craft beer, drinkers, and families. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Security staff reserve the right to remove anyone from the property immediately without a refund if they deem it necessary.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. well-behaved dogs are allowed everywhere Except the tent camping area. Dogs must be on leash at all times and you must be responsible for their behavior or you will be asked to leave the festival.
Can I litter?
No – this is a zero waste event and we appreciate you respecting our beautiful planet (and venue).
Can I camp?
Yes – tent camping is available onsite and for sale online
Can I smoke?
We wish you wouldn’t, but if you must, please be aware of and sensitive to the people around you. Dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate containers.
Can I be super loud and obnoxious all night long while people are trying to sleep?
No. Everyone loves sleep. Please shut it down at 1am.
Are there any discounts on local hotels?

Will there be public transportation to the event?
Yes, The Oskar Blues Trolley will be running from Longmont and Boulder.
